Canada is one of the countries that still demonstrate a comparatively high interest in bingo games. There are many bingo halls and land-based casino resorts also often have bingo as a gaming option.

One of the reasons why bingo is still so popular in Canada is because it is very easy to understand and easy to play. The rules are clear and players can make really small and affordable stakes. Interestingly enough, in some Canadian provinces, even teenagers can play at bingo halls if they are accompanied by adults. However, in Ontario in particular, you have to be 18 years old.

Bingo halls, like any other gambling facilities in Ontario (and in the whole country, in fact) tend to partner with many local charity projects and send a good chunk of their incomes to charity.

Eventually, bingo halls also offer community events, chatrooms, parties, fairs, celebrations, and so on. The social aspect of the game is very pronounced in Canada because people tend to visit bingo halls on a regular basis on weekdays or weekends, bringing friends and family, and spending time there as they would at a party.

Considering all those nuances, little surprise that locals in Ontario still enjoy playing bingo and visit their favorite bingo halls every now and then. In this post, we review three bingo halls in Ontario that are worth checking out.

Dolphin Gaming Bingo Hall

Address: 1911 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 2L6

Hours: 8 am – 4 am

This bingo hall is owned and run by OLG, one of the authorities of the province that regulates gambling activities. Dolphin Gaming bingo hall participates closely in different charity activities and thus helps local communities. At the time of writing this review, more than 100 charity projects rely on this bingo hall’s support and partnership.

Dolphin Gaming is fun to visit for bingo because it has weekday and weekend programs and packages. There are daily prizes and jackpots that accumulate with time. If you would like to first learn more about playing bingo you can read the guidelines on the website.

Besides bingo games that are available to all visitors who are 18 years old and older, there is a hall with VLTs. These are even easier to play! So, if you are not really into bingo and remembering its rules, or if you are more of a solitary player, you will definitely find a couple of VLTs to suit your preferences. VLTs are very affordable and they are more like online slot machines you can play at any casino site recommended by CasinosHunter

If you would like to visit in big group or celebrate an event in this bingo hall, you can make group reservations. Please keep in mind that there is no accommodation provided by Dolphin Gaming but there is convenient parking for all visitors.

Golden Eagle Bingo Hall

Address:

49 Devils Gap Rd, Kenora, ON P9N 3X8

Hours: Wed – Sun: 6 pm – 12 am

Owned by the Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation, Golden Eagle bingo hall is a more unique facility than others. By the way, at the time of writing, it has no active website so you have to rely on its Facebook group if you want to learn about its events and schedule.

So, Golden Eagle fundraises for the Wauzhushk Onigum Foundation, helping the Community of Wauzhushk Onigum Nation “build a better tomorrow”. In other words, part of this bingo hall’s income goes only to this community’s projects thus supporting culture, education, sports, science, and so on.

There are different parties and events that are held pretty often and they are currently announced on Facebook. You can attend a bingo session or an event like a fair. There is a buffet for dining because the facility has a place for 435 people. Weekend programs are the busiest so please keep that in mind when planning your visit.

There is plenty of space for parking but no accommodation. If you need a stay please check out hotels nearby.

Play! Gaming & Entertainment Bingo Hall

Address: 1600 Bath Rd, Kingston, ON K7M 4X6

Hours: 10 am – 1 am

This is one of the most recent bingo halls in the province and it shows. Play! is run by a big network of gambling houses so it can offer the latest electronic bingo technology and slot machines. However, there is also traditional paper bingo so don’t sweat if you are not into this innovative gaming.

Besides electronic bingo, progressive-style jackpot bingo, and paper bingo, there are also play-on-demand games that you can request from the facility team. This is a nice option if you are visiting as a group. In addition to bingo varieties, there is a casino floor. You can play slot machines, or buy break-open tickets there.

Moreover, you can download an online casino application which is only available in Ontario. The app is licensed by the local authorities and is completely legit.

Play! bingo hall works with over 70 local charities.
